BlueMap

BlueMap is a browser-based map of the Minecraft world, showing terrain, builds, and other overlays. LegisCraft's map displays key information from LegisClaims such as player claims, regions, and other landmarks.

Views

BlueMap has 3 views by default, the Perspective-view or 3D View, the Orthographic-view or Flat View, and the Free-Flight or Spectator Mode. LegisCraft has disabled the Spectator Mode and you may only view our map using the Perspective or Orthographic views.

Markers (Layers)

BlueMap makes use of toggleable layers, allowing users to turn on and off different layers. LegisClaims adds three different viewable layers:

  • Claims: Probably the most prominent (and important) layer is Player Claims. These are often blue by default but can be changed by using /lc claim edit [claim] color [#COLOR]. With the claims layer enabled you can click on claims to see the owner and other information.
  • Regions: Regions are another prominent layer, showcasing Government-defined territory such as states, cities, national parks, and other regions that the government might have a vested interest in defining. Players may sometimes be able to claim within regions, but it is dependent on the laws and regulations that define the certain areas.
  • Landmarks: Landmarks are single points that mark notable locations like spawn, different statues, or other public facilities.
  • Players: The Players layer is added by BlueMap and just displays players and their locations on the map.

[!NOTE] Claims, Regions, and Landmarks can be toggled ON in the 3D View but may not display properly. It is recommended that you hide these layers in the 3D View.

Maps

Maps is essentially the worlds view. LegisCraft only allows you to view the world (overworld) and has disabled access to viewing the End or Nether.

Other Information

BlueMap is a whole experience and has lots of other options for displaying the Minecraft world. You can view their FAQ Page (note: their FAQ is geared towards server owners, but does have some handy information!).
